Eyes Pressure Point

Of course, the eyes present as an obvious pressure point. The eyes pressure point are extremely vulnerable and any assault to them can cause permanent damage.

The only justification for attacking someone’s eyes would be if no other means of defense would be effective. I could see this as justifiable if the intended victim were significantly smaller than the attacker- even a child, or if all other methods had failed.

Eyes Pressure Point Knifehand Strike

There is no proper way to strike the eyes; almost anything would be effective. Gouging, poking or scratching would cause at least temporary- if not permanent damage- so one could make their escape.

Eyes Pressure Point Knuckles

Another close area of the face is the Temple Area.

Eyes Pressure Point Temple

Although it is widely believed that the skull bone is thinner at this point, that is a mistaken conception. The bone at the temple is as thick as it is at other parts of the head. It is the shape of the temple bone that makes it slightly more vulnerable to blows.

Because of the flatness of the temple area a blow to this area can deliver more shock to the brain than blows delivered to the curved area.

Actually any blow to any parts of the skull when delivered with enough force can cause hemorrhaging of the blood vessels of the brain. This is the most common cause of death following a blow to the head.

Strikes can be delivered with a knife hand, palm strike or hammer fist. An elbow strike may be used if the attacker is close behind you or has grabbed you from behind.
